coast of Maine | I have mentioned it on here before but if you can swim a bit,reserve a few hours of one day and take surfing lessons.No matter your age.The last time I was in California I took a 2 hour lesson with my cousins whom had never seen an ocean let alone surf. I had attempted before but knew little of the correct ways.It is a sure work out but what fun.A thrill actually.Its not big and scary like you would think.They have good surfing in Monterey,don a wet suit,hook on your lead,you will not drown as the board is your safety.Unless you get it in the head,,they will teach you how not to get beaten by the board.Im in my 60s and I will definitely do it next time out west. | |
