No real cowboys would dare wear their spurs in town. No one would dare wear their boots into the house for a branding meal. But if you are working and happen to stop by the truck stop for some beers for the barn, probably not a big deal. Did the boots and spurs have any dirt on them?
Old time vaqueros would turn the spurs around so the big sharp rowels didn’t rip the rugs
