| They told me my only office is my truck parked next to a field. In my past 12 years farming the agronomists I've wanted to work with are the ones I see out scouting fields all the time who are clearly interested in my success and brimming with knowledge. In most things I am pretty cost-conscious, but when it comes to this I tend to prioritize trust in the man I'm dealing with more than a cost comparison...as long as it seems competitive. The thing that bothers me most is a guy who won't answer the phone, won't call me back, and doesn't seem to know what he's talking about. This is just one of the reasons I had to leave the family farm, as many of these types of decisions weren't up to me and I had to deal with those types of people all the time who I didn't trust and felt didn't deserve our business. | |
