Bit of a stretch calling a place in the shadow of both Eugene and Salem “very conservative rural community”, isn’t it? IMO there isn’t a place in the Willamette Valley anymore that fits that description. Perhaps “formerly conservative pseudo-rural lifestyle community” would be more fitting. The last 30 years have not been kind to conservatism in Western Oregon.
