Most (I’m not sure if all?) union plants here in Texas do not require the union, but you’ll get harassed by the union people. Also most unions are old guys screwing the young guys, with a defined hire date determining who is old/young. Problem is, the age of the young guys is getting to 35-40 years old now, so eventually the power will shift.

Yep… I feel like my vote in the national election counts more then my vote within the union meetings… (our union represents a lot of different companies but each company is separate far as negotiations and contracts with the company goes.)

Whatever the loud voices in the room or what the union wants is how those things go… I’m not sure what the rest of you guys pay for union dues pay but I just assume keep mine and actually work for my paycheck… I could be making more
