Central Iowa | 1978 went as 3 of us sophomores got to accompany a dozen seniors on a FFA trip. Well the seniors took off in search of young ladies and left the 3 of us with the advisor and the bus driver and they took all the beer. So we grabbed the advisors ID and I volunteered to go in the liquor store. So being the dumb 15 year old 3 cases of beer seemed like the correct amount and I got it bought and was struggling to open the door when all of a sudden the door swings open and I'm face to face with a cop. Oh sh#t came right outta my mouth. He asked "what's the matter son" and I replied somebody stole my car! While he was turning around to see where my car was supposed to be I hightailed it outta there before any more pleasantry's were exchanged. My buddy's were waiting for me around the corner of the building and couldn't catch me until we arrived at the camp site. Lots of ribbing over the years about "somebody stole my car"! | |
