Milford, IL | Disagree. Antibiotics have been available forever OTC in Mexico and their morgues aren't overwhelmed with MRSA infected deceased. Stating that penicillin would be 'useless in a couple years' is fear mongering. I will agree that the US would probably have a problem with HD painkillers being available OTC, I suspect there may be a cultural difference for this disparity.
Herbicide resistance is not remotely comparable to antibiotic resistance in humans - provided we are talking about theraputic levels. Sub-theraputic use in humans would be a bad experiment.
Also disagree with your edit, Mexico culture is very family centered, and work ethic is a strong points of theirs that is lacking at times here. | |
