 Chebanse, IL..... | I believe there are flash drive kits sold that have built-in software to download photos from i-phones. I'm not sure you can view the photos before downloading however.
What I would do is similar to my previous response, hook the iphone to the computer, then hook a flash drive to the computer however you do it. The flash drive should show up in your file manager. Make sure it's a clean flash drive with sufficient space. I'd suggest just buying a 128 gb flash drive & using it. You should see both the flash drive and your iphone on the File Manager of your computer. Also note that a little message box will pop up on your iphone asking if you "trust" the computer it's hooked to. If it's your home computer, I'd assume it should be trusted. Mine always is.
Then, copy/paste, or drag them into the flash drive, whichever you're more comfortable with.
