Went to town today for what might be the last look at the only surviving wooden grain elevator for miles around. They are working on removing the siding before it comes down. A former Sask. Wheat Pool elevator but has been privately owned for the past 20 or more years. I hauled a lot of grain to that elevator and the Pioneer too back in the 1990s. Got a bit of video driving by today plus a link to the fire that took out another elevator back in 1990.

Thanks for sharing.  We have wood elevator on a farm we bought back in 1990.  It was put up in the 40s.  The true BTOs back in the were the farmers that put up their own elevators while the rest of us shoveled the grain in and out of wood grainerys.  It's actually on state land and they've made it known they wouldn't mind seeing it gone.  It's still in good shape and I would like to move back home but just not a priority right now.
