just a tish NE of central ND | HA! Credit score is something that those who never need credit don't even think about. Debt free and paying cash only don't give you a good score it seems.
Years ago, when cell phones and service appeared here locally, a friend I know went to get one of the first cell phones and service set up. The deal was the phones were on an installment monthly with your billing and the company did everything to keep you from wanting to purchase the phone for cash. The friend didn't qualify and ended up having to pay cash and cash down for the service since he had no credit score simply because he had paid cash for most everything in his life except a land loan that he paid off 25 years prior.
The funny part is he said he had a million plus dollars in cash and in the bank and more value in paid for machinery and land and couldn't get a cell phone on installments because his credit was NO GOOD! |
