WCIN | I had inguinal hernia repair on my right side in 2008. It was done laparoscopic and mesh was put in. 54 years old at the time. In-out surgery home the same day and only used the pain meds that first night.
Had the left side repaired in 2018 at 64 yrs old and the same surgeon did the repair robotically. Same in-out, 3 small holes, no pain at all. Maybe took 1 pain pill that first evening because doc said it’s best to stay ahead of any pain that may come with the meds. Walked out to the shop the next morning. Took it easy for a couple weeks.
My surgeon specializes in hernias. Told me he never intends to see me again unless it’s to have a beer. | |
