A forest full of wood in those. Does the wood get repurposed or just incinerated?
Old wood like that is too dry and brittle to be useful. That's why it gets burned.
There was a time when people knew how to save, salvage and re-use lumber like that but today's world has forgotten how. I still have some that I salvaged over 20 years ago. Comes in handy on the farm.
