As a farmer you notice farmsteads that looked progressive 50 years ago and today IF they are still standing everything is picked clean 550 Massey combine

Does any one else have these weird thoughts or is it just me?

I feel sad when I see silo's, livestock buildings that was somebodies dream just falling down.
50 yrs. ago or so before cash cropping got so lucrative there was nice 2-300 acre farms around Chatham, ontario with 1 or 2 silo's, small beef feedlot (all on excellent ground) and now they are abandoned. Same for hogs.

Late Father said when we were building barns for hogs that someday my Gandchildren will be bulldozing them all down. From 20 or so serious hog producers in our county there is only 3 of us left (we are slow learners)
