I agree with Timis, most small towns have turned into "meth head" villages. Just enough money (or government funds) to buy an old house but never enough money to maintain. Gone are the days when a retiring farmer would build a new home in a small town, today's farmer builds on a fancy golf course or moves off to Az. I remember all the support business's in town, corn sheller man, feed mill man, egg, milk and cream guys, welding shop, large animal vet's, TV repairman. Many of those are now obsolete. Most of us are of the land holding generation but time moves on without/ not needing our input.
I was blessed yesterday with a good 3 month report at Mayo's in Rochester.
