I was on I-35 last month and as much as I miss wide-open farm country like where I grew up, it hurt to see so many farms falling down or already gone. Very odd feeling that I can't describe very well. Maybe it was too many hours in the van, but I sure didn't enjoy the scenery as much as I thought I would.
