North Central OH | I patch them if I think its worth saving and can tell where the leak is, if showing its age or multiple patches already it will get replaced. Tubes are still relatively cheap and local implement keeps a full stock of firestone tubes, normally $20 or less for 15/16" wheels.
Think I'm using a box of slim brand from tsc and have a couple of large radial tech boots. If you boot a tubeless tire it need to be an actual patch boot/radial patch and not the boot patches you find at tsc and napa here. Found out the hard way they don't hold air in. I got a buffer wheel for the die grinder, makes the process easier. | |
