pigshephard - 4/26/2024 21:51 I'd say when I switched to case ih/ early riser row units the wear parts that get replaced are indeed less often than the white and john deer that they replaced.



What models of the various brands?      Certain parts of planters have been beefed up/improved considerably over the years as newer models have come out.

For example, a White 5100 had 13.5" 3 mm disc openers.   A White 6100 had 15" 3 mm openers.  A White 8000 series has 15" 3.5 mm opener.   The White 9000 series uses a 16" 3.5 mm opener.

Other makes/models went from 3 mm to 3.5 mm to 4 mm openers.
