I reckon most consider a 6 to 6.5 bed a full length bed nowadays. I don't.
Last time I was at Home Depot there was a guy beside me trying to strap some 2x4 studs into his 5' bed. It looked and was hilarious! Not sure if he made it home without losing them or not.
