Sure, there have to be quite a few flakes in the comment section. But even if one in ten are legitimate, makes taking a low risk bet worth it.
I will take Ivermectin for three days if I get a tick bite. May not protect me from anything, but it also might. Several people here on AgTalk seem to think it does.
