Well, it's been a long time since I was in school so this might not be correct. But IIRC diameter times pie equal circumference. So, your new higher tires are ~2" more in circumference than the old ones, something has to slip/spin IMHO. Seems I read somewhere normally front tires on MFWD turn 3-5% faster from the factory, too.
