It's adequate really if you keep on top of management. Anything you aren't working on right now wants to be stored as backup in the other drive and ideally also on an external one too. Windows defaults to downloading pictures and video etc to C drive but you can specify other places or just keep moving them out on say a monthly basis.
There are programs will scan your drive and show/sort the sizes of everything in there which is useful. As an example Adobe Premiere will cache versions of video edits these can rapidly add up and can be deleted once your edit is done and dusted.
