Panhandle of Ne. | Probably around 61-63 time frame, was learning to drive the G. Dad and brother had tightened the hand clutch that day. Dad told me to put it in first gear and go fill it with gas. I was easing toward the 500 gallon overhead tank and decided to pull the clutch out and slowly ease to the tank. Couldn't for the life of me pull that clutch out so I stood on the brakes, one on each side of the platform, dad heard the engine pulling down and seen what was happening. He ran across the yard, reached in between the tire and seat and pulled the clutch out. Of course it stopped instantly and dad looked at me and said, " believe we got the clutch a little tight"! | |
