I don't have a solution to the problem but I am certain that the super bright over the top LED's are NOT the answer. These just serve to blind every oncoming driver regardless of their speed and attention to situation. Drivers who are going to slow down and give you the attention you deserve will do so if you are using reasonable lights. Burning the eyes out of drivers heads won't gain you much.
I am of the opinion that if we (first responders) are working on/near the road, we just shut traffic off. Seems to be catching on. Don't have enough manpower for proper traffic control anyway and people drive like mad men. Just shut the road down.
Please people , slow down and move over .
