chortitz, manitoba | On the prairies, lots of operations relocated into cheaper Saskatchewan. There's no such thing anymore. Prices are the same right across to the mountains now. Guys close to the 49th are now going north to "cheaper" land. Cheaper for a reason. There's probably 12 crops we can sucessfully grow here and hit max yields. Once you start going north everything changes and weather just doesn't cooperate. So you're stuck growing a handfull of crops in the shorter season. | |
