Virginia, Northern Neck | You are absolutely correct, I have been using a Chromebook for several years now.
It does everything I need, and the battery lasts 12 hours.
I made the transition from Excel to Google sheets with my first Chromebook, and have never looked back.
My dear wife however, tells me she needs her Apple computer, along with a couple of Windows computers, to do all her genealogy work.
She also has a Chromebook, which she uses when traveling, but when she is home, she runs her Apple all the time, and the 2 Windows computers as needed.
Considering she is the computer expert in our family, and is a greater-than or equal partner in all of our endeavors, I am fully committed to keeping all of her computers and peripherals, and all the rest of her electronic devices, powered up all the time.
