Coldwater, Michigan | I hear you! In the early 80's, I took a swing with a hammer against a piece of steel and a chunk hit my eye. Slept from about 2:00 till about 7:00 am on a Sunday morning. Didn't sleep very well because it hurt and felt like gavel in my eye. Called the eye Dr, who was friends, and he checked my eye, and sent me to Columbus to see a specialist that he called. Columbus was an hour away and my wife was driving. Got up there and they checked me out and decided the chip needed to come out. Except the tool was across the street at Childrens Hospital. They got the tool ( an electric magnet) put it up against my eye, and pulled the trigger. That was all there was to it. pulled the chip right out! Put me on some kind of medication for a while, and it has been fine ever since then.
I have known of Dr leaving chips in other people's arms or legs.
