Ohio | How severe is the infection? Just on lower leaves or up around the ear leaf? I think with the cooler temps last week we will start to see it spread. I'm actually amazed at how low the disease pressure has been in our area so far.
OSU had some data in their Efields booklet that fungicide application method didn't make much difference to final yield. I think Beck's had similar studies in their PFR book. If it's a minor infection on lower leaves I wouldn't be afraid to wait a few days to get a ground rig in (assuming that this method will be the lowest application cost). If it's up in the canopy then I would go with whatever can get there the soonest. | |
