SC Kansas | I strip till into rye cover. Need to do it before the cover dries out the surface. If you wait till the cover really gets established it doesn’t make much of a strip but with rtk I still plant into the ‘ worked ‘ strip. Just don’t let it use to much moisture in the spring. I have planted corn into striped ground when I left the rye get big. I love the protection it provides the small corn. I’m just a little gun shy as far as the moisture it uses that the corn needs later. | |
