NCKS | I have a couple close buddies who want me to plant some oats and have them put them up on shares. I can't wrap my head around it. Why would anyone on my side do that on cropped ground other than charity? Prairie grass I can see maybe.
I'm not asking as a rant, but honestly curious how that's ever in the farmer's favor. All the cowboys always want hay on shares, but why wouldn't I just pay them fair custom rates and have them pay me a fair price for the hay? The risk is all on me either way. | |
