Subject: Raking tedded hay

For you guys that Ted your alfalfa hay, do you all have kicker wheels on your rakes, and what rakes are you using? Baling tedded hay behind a kuhn sr112G2 rake, with a kicker wheel and I'm not convinced it does much. Buddy I make hay with makes quite a bit of dry rye hay and says he has to have the kicker wheel, I'm not so sure. Really interested in a dual rotary rakes, but as far as I can tell none of them have a kicker wheel option on them which 90 percent of the time would be fine until you get a year like this and you need to ted. I'm ready to move on from this v rake, I'm never impressed with the windrow it makes and after baling with a on board moisture sensor it sure shows how inconsistent the moisture is in the windrow. Thoughts?
