1: if it’s not certified organic selling it as “organic” is pointless.
2: I bet the germ is down if it heated, DO NOT misrepresent it and get a certified germ test done ASAP.
Moving it and try to blow some air on it. Small enough amount it could be dumped on concrete and run fans over it.
Operations with gross sales under $5000 are not required to to obtain certification to use the NOP Organic label on products. However maintaining documentation that the NOP standards are being adhered to is required.
I agree with you on the other points, but dumping it on just any old concrete floor might not be up to snuff for food safety standards if it is being sold for milling (heating and mold ain't good in that regard either). Definitely needs to be tested for mycotoxins if being used for milling. |
