Central Indiana
I'll get back on topic. Yes it's dryer here than 2012. We had a lot of early season moisture that got the top built up, but it never got our subsoil level up. We had we planting delays from late April to 3 rd week in May. Last measurable rain was Aug 28th. Our early beans and corn are running on par, though lighter test weights. Our later planted stuff is really going to suffer. Most of it has burnt up, lot of blank pods, lot of corn that has baby kernals on them. There's a burn ban on. Just over the weekend there were 14 fires in our county. Pretty crazy cutting 10% beans at 10 am. Relative humidity was 16% and 94 degrees yesterday afternoon.
