Southeast Colorado | I'm getting old enough I don't ride for speed..............but every now and then when we're on a long trek somewhere, I'll twist the throttle back and blow by whoever I'm riding with, just to wake myself back up and see how it feels. These 1800 Goldwings can really move! I've heard it said that the engines make for a lower center of gravity compared to most touring bikes...........which gives them that "nimble" feel.
I do miss the V-twin sound and low RPM engine cruise speed compared to the whisper quiet Wing. But unfortunately I don't ride enough to do much about it right now. | |
