Faunsdale, AL | What do you mean they’re not getting back with answers? Have they made an appointment to see you?
I don’t know if you have ever had trouble swallowing, but be very careful that you don’t choke if that should become problematic for you.
I haven’t got myasthenia gravis, but I have choked to the point I was considering my demise a couple times in my life. Once, as a teenager, when i had an actual foreign body obstruction, a friend saved my life by whacking me on the back, but the second time I was alone and my throat spasmed and my airway was almost as completely obstructed without anything there to create a blockage. In that situation having help wouldn’t have made any difference unless they had been willing to whip out a knife and do a tracheotomy! Luckily the spasm began to pass and I soon recovered.
Be careful! Hope your doctor gets back to you soon.
Oh, just to point out that there are many different immune suppressant drugs that can be used for myasthenia gravis. Most of them will have more broad, potentially dangerous side effects than the VYVGART which is targeted more specifically against the IgG antibodies that are attacking your nerves.
