| No, I agree with you there. All the previous seed companies that were "mom and pops" did sell out to the bigger companies. What's funny is that's how they became the titans they are now, on the shoulders of the mom and pops. Only thing I can tell you is there is a next to zero % chance this breeding programs sells to anyone and if that day comes it means we were going out of business due to lack of sales. That's my biggest worry. The reality is, Bayer and Corteva own the vast majority of the seed market and will have no interest in our breeding program. They bought all the programs they wanted and the small independents that are left don't even blip on their radar. We'd have to take 5% marketshare before they even knew we existed and, well, that's highly unlikely to ever happen | |
