swmn | With nothing between 91 and 104 day, I'm guessing central/southern MN is not your target market. A lack of hybrid characterization (NCLB?, SCLB?, Goss?, green snap?, stalk strength?) would be enough to keep me on the side lines. How thorough can your yield testing program be if you can't even characterize a hybrid's stalk strength?
It looks like I'm going to get burned this year by a hybrid from one of those "cheap corn" companies and I refuse to purchase another that doesn't have solid and transparent yield and characterization data to back it up.
I do wish you good luck but it appears you're asking for quite a leap of faith on the farmer's part. | |
