Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA | Sounds like bobs dad’s partner needs to figure out what the plan is. He’s going to need an employee or a new partner.
Perhaps Bob and his dad’s partner can come up with a new partnership agreement that works for them both.
Perhaps bobs dad and the partner need to split the sheets, then the partner can do whatever and bobs dad can rent his land to Bob.
Either way, I don’t think Bob relegating himself to an employee after declining to be one in the past would be a good option.
