| Yeah, all very true. Marketing gets the best of companies and they like to promote the products as being the "best". The fun part about being an independent company with our own germplasm is that we don't have anyone telling us that we have to "sweeten" the data or push any agendas. I've been going through our silage trials and analyzing the data and our hybrids have a 100% win rate in the 95-100 day silage trials, 75% win rate in the 105-110 day silage trials and 100% win rate in the 110-115 day silage trials. That's all true, however, it's an example of the disingenuous marketing that most companies take part in. The reality is that these trials are research trials and the averages are brought down in the trial by experimental hybrids that are being tested against commercially sold hybrids including Corteva, Bayer, and Syngenta.
An UnBranded commercial hybrid compared directly to other commercial hybrids that are being sold. That's transparent marketing. That's what we will be doing. In that spirit, UnBranded 4118 (91 RM) had a 50% win rate against the commercial Syngenta, Bayer, Corteva hybrids in the 95-100 day silage trials. UnBranded 5418 (104 RM) had 40% win rate, UnBranded 5718 (107 RM) was 60% win rate, UnBranded 6019 (110 RM) 50%, UnBranded 6238 (112 RM) 75%, UnBranded 6539 (115 RM) 75%, UnBranded 6628 (116 RM) 50%.
Nobody wins 100% of the time. Silage is a major focus for us and we perform well but we, by no means, win every time. It's not feasible.
Thank you for your post. I have enjoyed these discussions. I hope to have many more. | |
