Hooker Twp,Ne | I think it’s good that ethanol in our fuel replace MBTE. And that distillers is a valuable by product of ethanol. Corn is only a small amount of the cost of food. If we had all the corn available for food that ethanol uses the cost of food would be lower only a percent or two if that. All the other cost in food production would probably either take a higher profit for their stock holders. If my memory serve me one main reason our country went to ethanol was because we were tired of the Mideast gouging us for oil prices. We as a country and people need to keep that in mind. EV has its place but if every vehicle would turn to electric tomorrow morning we won’t have the grid to supply it. Probably take 30-50,years to make that happen. To have a mixture of energy sources is only a wise decision. Never good to put all your eggs in one basket. | |
