We will all look back and said damn paying $3/lbs for a yearling steer without protecting the fat sale price was just stupid as they ship the fat steer for slaughter for less than they paid for the feeder. Record profits feeding cattle are always followed by a massive losses for the feeder. There are operations that can take the beating and keep on trucking but many can not. | |
