I did the math once on what it takes to pay for $25,000 ground at 7% over 30 years, JUST USING the income from that ground. The numbers are mind blowing.




When the gross production of the ground won't make interest payment (even at CD rates) land prices are kind of out of touch with reality.

225 corn @ $4= $900 gross

$25,000 x 5% = $1250/acre in interest alone.           Its much worse if you have to borrow any money.
