S Illinois | CBS had a piece on airports and that their claim to “going green” is misleading as airplanes are 90+% of emissions. They mentioned there is currently no alternative and mentioned that SAF is basically a drop in the bucket unless we use all the corn currently grown and then planted half the bean acres to corn also as it takes 1.7 gallons of ethanol to make one gallon of SAF. They didn’t mention it but SAF is about the least economical fuel available. | |
