New paint has consequences. Friend that farms 6500a was going to replace equipment. 5.5m loan to update. Almost 50 so decided to just sell all land instead. Equipment auction is April 2nd with Steffes new Canada division
that sure is a strange story, not even 50 yet and he is going to sell his land and quit farming? Is the machinery that clapped out he can't make it last another 5-10 years with good maintenance? Most people are hitting the prime of their careers as they hit 50 and a good size farmer is cashing out? Is he retiring or pursuing another career? |
