When renting it's cut.and dried
You put x amount in and get x amount back
If you get less back you lost money.no matter if you have 10000 acres paid for
So why do it?
When buying if the buyer has half the cash down it :
Cash flows.
He now "owns" the land.
It may inflate.
May not make sense but it happens all the time. The guy with deep pockets walks away from high cash rented land.
