| That’s one major concern I have about them around here. Being stranded in -30 weather is very different than being stranded in barely freezing conditions. The shorter range, even shorter in extreme cold, means that on any given trip nearing the range of an EV the reserve left in the battery will be minimal. There is a huge difference being stranded 2 miles from home in a -30 blizzard with 10% charge left and being stranded in the same conditions with a 1/2 tank of gas. One is easily survivable, one will turn deadly much faster.
Well I guess one could always start a battery fire to keep warm. It sounds like they do burn for a long time. Just kidding. Kind of. lol. | |
