East Central, Nebraska | appreciate the information, i indeed do not want to go down that rabbit hole. i don't have the time and/or ambition.
only points i was trying to make was we seem to keep seeing on here the belief of users of precision ag that centimeter level vertical and horizontal accuracy can come out of the sky in the form of terrastar, rtx or sf3. though i truly understand the convenience of such services the users cannot expect the same level of accuracy out of such services. i have no ties to digifarm other than being a user of the service and its frustrating to see a person claim fault of the digifarm service in a solar flare situation. the digifarm network was likely performing at 100% during the solar flare event as it always does. the satellite supplied correction services simply perform worse and are not as susceptible to such scrutiny by the rover equipment as would be of a well maintained rtk base station network.
with that said i fully understand how a user/farmer may find greater value in sacrificing accuracy and repeatability in return for convenience.
in conclusion its apples to oranges.
