Yup, a steady consistent supply to add to rations is key to seeing what viable inclusion levels are. Hard to do trials without having supply.

Good part of hulls over rye is the hybrid rye they are currently experimenting with, and is being pushed to trials by certain groups, is that oat hulls are not the cash crop paying the bills for farmers on those acres. The food grade oats cover the farmers needs and hulls are a bonus. With rye, the income from selling rye has to cover farmers needs.

Sow rations and wean pigs rations really benefit from including oats and possibly oat hulls at around a 5% level.
