Pittsburg, Kansas | I listened to conventional medical advice and dietary advice with my diabetes for thirty years. What it got me was fatter and sicker. I started listen to Dr Ken Berry and a half dozen other doctors like him almost exactly six years ago. On the first of February come this February, six years ago, wife and I made the change to a low carb ketogenic diet (while in Bonaire staying at the exact same place we are right now).
In two weeks my diabetes was reversed. Conventional doctors always said that would not be possible. Yet I did. Got off 4 insulin shots a day within two weeks (100 total units per day). Got off all medication including diabetic and blood pressure within a couple months. Lost 100 pounds of fat in about 9 months.
Other peoples results may vary. I am NOT a doctor. That is just my experience. Today I did two scuba dives totaling about 150 minutes of time in the water. Sprinted about a block and walked another three blocks. 25 push ups. Ten pullups. Carried two scuba tanks at a time up and down stairs to the dock. Six years ago I could not have done 3 good push ups and lucky if I could have done one good pullup. My knees and back hurt bad enough I was down to carrying one scuba tank at a time (my wife dives too) I am healthier (with better blood test results) today than I was six years ago before I started listening to unconventional medical and nutrition education.
I am completely anecdotal evidence that low carb eating improves health. But the most important anecdote in the world to me. Others results may vary.
Wife and I did it together. She lost a bunch of weight and is much healthier also. Low carb eating gave us our life back. It reversed my unreversable disease. I think I will continue to listen to doctors that allowed me to do what conventional medicine and nutrition said could not be done. Others results could be different.
