Pittsburg, Kansas | I have a very dear friend for about 35 years that is a respiratory therapest that works with critical patients in a major hospital (did - retired now). Quite a few years ago she mentioned to me about my "dry cough", which I had. I never thought anything about it. It didn't really bother me. Just a dry light cough once in a while.
Several years ago while visiting and staying with them near Seattle she mentioned she did not hear my dry cough any more. She ask me if I had changed any medication or anything (I had lost about 100 pounds from when she knew me earlier). So happeded one of the medications I got off of (no longer needed it) was a blood pressure medicine. She said "yep, that is it. That is one of the side effects of that medicine, a dry cough".
