Pittsburg, Kansas | Take a look at the India diabetic probelm. It is worse than the US and because of their genetics it happens to them worse as skinny people.
As long as calories are limited enough, excess blood stream sugar is not a big problem. Carbs are not a problem. When carbohydrates become plentiful and people eat all they want or can hold, it becomes a problem. Carbs create energy but the actual nutrients in them is substandard to meats and is less bioavailable. Therefore it takes larger amounts to meet nutritional needs. So the energy consumed it too high for the nutrients obtained. An imbalance. The body stores the imbalance as body fat unless a person genetically does not create new fat cells (hyperplasia) effectively. Then it goes into viceral fat and ultimately high blood stream sugars. Asia has the problem bad. Both China and India. Somewhat because of genetics, mostly because of the availability and consumption of certain foods over more nutritient dense selections. Mainly meat. | |
